Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Becco Construction will begin the HWY 169 widening project to replace the bridges from 56th St North to 66 St North and widen a 1.2 mile stretch of HWY 169.
This $32.7 million project starts July 6th and is a 580 day project; therefore if should be complete by February 2017.
All lanes are to remain open during construction, however, there will be a few occasions where lanes will be reduced to accommodate cement pours and construction, BUT AT NO TIME will all lanes be closed.
ODOT intends to place message boards soon to start notifying drivers from Owasso and surrounding areas who are headed south into Tulsa, at this time the message board will be placed at approximately Classic Chevrolet notifying drivers of construction dates and delays.
Public Works staff will be put on an email chain for public notifications and social media updates. We will be working closely with ODOT with needed updates.
