Larry G. Menkhoff was born March 21, 1946, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Aaron William and Opal (Crupper) Menkhoff. He died Monday, December 30, 2013, in Pensacola, Florida, at the age of 67 years. Larry completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the McClain High School Class of 1964. He continued his education at Tulsa Junior College and ultimately earned his Ph.D. at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Larry was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Air Force. He was married May 20, 1967, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Linda Large. He spent most of his working life with L-3 Communications as manager of operations. During his years in Owasso, Larry volunteered in several capacities including Owasso volunteer fireman, Owasso Little League, and Owasso Rams Booster Club. He was also very active as a 32nd Degree Mason and had served as Worshipful Master in the Owasso Lodge, Kingsville Texas Lodge, and Bishop Texas Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Menkhoff, and four sisters, Jo Ann Talbert, Jackie Reynolds, Peggy Rogers, and Scottie Hefley.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 6, 2014, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Paul Large officiating. Serving as casket bearers were Donny Teel, James Dewey, Steven Menkhoff, Tommy Large, Cole Menkhoff, and David Davidson. Committal services and interment were held at Ball Cemetery in Childers, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to SPOHNC at spohnc.org, org, in support for people with Oral and Head and Neck Cancer. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
