The Owasso Chapter, NSDAR is proud to recognize Shari Lee Norum as its recipient of a Community Service Award for her outstanding contributions of volunteer service that she gives to the Owasso community. The person chosen by the Owasso Chapter must have contributed to the community by organizing or participating in community activities. The person chosen is someone who has been selected by a member or a group within the community. Once the chapter selects a nominee, the recommendations and list of contributions are sent to the Oklahoma State DAR for consideration. If the nominee is approved the nomination is sent to the national chair for final approval. Once approval is received, the chapter is able to recognize its nominee with a certificate and a pin.
