Owasso, OK: At 3:00am Friday morning the Owasso Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 161st East Avenue and 101st Street North, after a passer-by reported a home fully engulfed in flames. 

When Owasso Fire arrived, the house was totally involved, and the roof had begun to collapse. Firefighters noticed the electrical meter had been pulled from the residence and assumed it was unoccupied.  Neighbors later told them the house was not vacant, and they were not sure if anyone was inside. They later discovered the homeowner was not there at the time. 

Two  Limestone tanker trucks were called in to assist Owasso fight the blaze. At 4:40am OFD reported it under control. They left the scene at 6:40 with some “hot spots” still smoldering. 

At the time of this post, the cause of the fire was not known.
