Oklahoma City based Bricktown Brewery Restaurant Group announces plans to open an eighth location, its second in Wichita, KS, on September 15th. Located at the corner of 21st & Rock Road, a projected cost of over $1,000,000 will be invested to remodel the building, with management estimating the restaurant to employ around 100 people.
“Although we have only been open less than a month at our 21st and Tyler site, we couldn’t pass up this opportunity. We have said many times that we love Wichita as a restaurant town and planting our flag for the second time is very exciting to us.” said Buck Warfield, President of Bricktown Brewery Restaurant Group, “…we look forward to building another Bricktown Brewery and bringing local beer and local flavor to the east side of Wichita.”
Wichita’s response to the first location has been great. As part of the restaurant’s pre-opening, Bricktown Brewery donated $10,000 and 1000 tickets to iHeart Radio’s radiothon benefiting Children’s Miracle Network. Listeners were encouraged to purchase $10 tickets for the lunch and dinner employee training sessions, raising $18,000 for CMN and the kids at Via Christi Health.
Serving up handcrafted beer and modern pub food, Bricktown Brewery offers many local beer brands from Kansas and surrounding states, plus brews it’s own “session” beers at the flagship location in downtown Oklahoma City and sends them to all locations.
