Jodie Renee Butts, resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the age of 21 years. Jodie was born October 26, 1993 in Tulsa, OK to Shane Keith and Cindy Lynn (Garrett) Butts. In 1999, the family moved to Independence, Kansas, returning to the Owasso/Collinsville area in 2006. Jodie was a graduate of Collinsville High School, and was currently working as a server for Olive Garden Restaurant in Owasso. In her spare time, Jodie enjoyed fishing, camping and cooking; but mostly like to spend time with friends and family.
Those that survive include her Mother Cindy Garrett of Owasso; Father Shane Butts of Collinsville; a brother Austin Butts of Owasso; Maternal grandparents Linda Garrett of Owasso, Robert Garrett and wife Sharon of Salina, OK and Paternal grandparents Tom and Sharon Butts of Independence, KS. Also surviving are Uncles James Garrett, Shannon, Tom and Roger Butts and an Aunt Robin Lutker.
A celebration of Jodies life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2015 in the sanctuary of the Faith Fellowship Church in Collinsville with Pastor Kelvin Limbocker officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso. A GoFundMe account has been established.
