Joe-Felts-1443029446Joe Harold Felts, age 54 of Tulsa, peacefully passed from this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born January 18, 1961, at Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa to Clyde Harold and Neoma “Marie” (Morrison) Felts. Joe was the youngest of three boys and attended Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from Booker T. Washington, Class of 1979. He was awarded the Mervin Bovaird Foundation Scholarship for The University of Tulsa where he graduated in 1986 receiving his Bachelor of Science degree.

Joe married Lisa (Hall) Felts on January 24, 1998 in Sharp Chapel at The University of Tulsa. He worked for many years, retiring as a bank vice president. Joe loved helping others and working with the public which led him to working in retail sales for Men’s Wearhouse.

Joe attended Woodlake Church in Tulsa. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Joe will be remembered for his wit, intelligence, fun-loving personality and sense of humor. He had a passion for life and a true gift for connecting with people. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him, but never forgotten.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Marie Felts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Felts of the home; children, Katie Baker and husband Grant of Norman, Oklahoma, Micah Cartwright and husband Brian of Moore, Oklahoma, Austin Hall and wife Jessica of Minneapolis, Minnesota; brothers, Dennis Felts and wife Marilyn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jim Felts and wife Shala of Owasso, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Kerry Hereden and husband Jerry of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law, Chris Robinson and wife Cindy of Katy, Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Evelyn Robinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many good friends.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Men’s Wearhouse; Dr. Charles Taylor and staff of Tulsa Cancer Institute and to Clarehouse for their compassion and care in helping Joe and his family during his illness, treatment and battle with cancer.

Viewing and visitation will begin on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Floral Haven Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service for Joe will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., September 28, 2015 at Woodlake Church, 7100 East 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145 with Dr. Ken Farnham and Pastor Jamie Austin officiating. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
