Margaret Donna “Marge” Bausch, local resident of Owasso, Oklahoma, was born July 4, 1943, in Manhattan, New York, to Joseph Anthony and Helen Veronica (McGrath) Carlucci. She passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the age of 72 years. As a young child, Marge was disappointed to learn that the fireworks on her birthday were not just for her, as her gather had once told her. She attended Guardian Angel Elementary and Middle School, before graduated from St. Vincent High School in Manhattan. She was the first in her family to attend college at Fordham University in the Bronx, New York. It was soon after, on January 31, 1965, in Manhattan, that she married her high school sweetheart, the dashing Arthur Stephen Bausch.
They began their family very quickly, welcoming three children within their first four years of marriage. Arthur joined the United States Marine Corps, and soon Marge and the family were moving to new locations every one to four years. Even when Art was fighting the war in Vietnam or stationed unaccompanied in Okinawa, Japan, Marge kept her family and home meticulously in line. Several years later, Art and Marge welcomed their fourth and youngest child into the family. Marge and Art placed a high degree of value on education and set it as a high priority for their children. Marge always had excellent taste, and made the most with modest budgets. Marge, with her Irish/Italian heritage, was a fantastic cook which she proudly passed down to her sons who own and operate Andolini’s Restaurants and STG in the Tulsa area.
Marge was a private person, but if you were lucky enough to call her your friend, then you had a fierce and true friend for life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Art, her daughter Eileen Erwin and her husband Kevin, and granddaughters Stephanie and Haley Erwin; her son Jim Bausch, granddaughter Melanie, and grandson, Danny Bausch; her daughter, Laurie Bausch, grandsons Joseph Bausch and Cody Keller, and granddaughter Ally Keller; and son Michael Bausch and his wife Michelle.
A Rosary service will be held 6:30 Wednesday December 9, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 Thursday, December 10, 2015, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Matt LaChance officiating. Committal services and interment will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Marge felt that flowers were to be enjoyed by the living, so requests in lieu of flowers that any donations be made to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
