Wanda Lee Ward, 88, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Wanda was born December 17, 1927, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Wanda was the only child of Lee A. Coke and Frona A. Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, and also her husband of 52 years, Vurnie E. Ward.
She is survived by her children Darrell Ward and his wife Darlene of Big Cabin, and Terri Roop and her husband John of Owasso; grandchildren, Mike Ward and Ginger, Mark Hughes and Jeff, Kourtney Roop and Holley, and Ashlee Davis; great grandchildren, Quincey Ward, Colin Ward, Kadence Roop, Jaxon Roop, Landon Davis, Braden Davis, and Saylor Davis; longtime friend and companion, Freddie Fruechting; two half-brothers, Lee Coke, Jr, Leroy Coke; and a half-sister, Norma. All are living in Oklahoma, as well as many cousins. Wanda was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Owasso where she had many friends and acquaintances.
Services will be held at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
