Lavon Christine Conley was born October 5, 1928, in Darwin, Oklahoma, to James Lathan and Ada (Finley) Kilgore. She died Saturday, May 7, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Lavon was married September 29, 1947, at Paris, Texas, to Clifton Conley. She spent most of her working life as the owner-operator of Conley Trucking Company in Tulsa. Lavon enjoyed a variety of pastimes including crocheting, cooking, and spending time as an excellent cake decorator. She loved animals and was avid collector of porcelain birds. She also enjoyed taking care of kids, whether it was her family or another family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Doyle Kilgore, Ralph Kilgore, and Hershel Kilgore, and two sisters, Sylvia Potts and Auzela Estell.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Brett Rogers officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Floyd Potts, Shane Bacon, Lathon Potts, Matt Potts, Allen Cole, and Randy McDaniel. Honorary casket bearers will be Steve Potts, Calvin Williams, and Johnny Kilgore. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
