Peggy Jo Beeson was born June 25, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Robert Paul and Vaudell (DePriest) Bennett. She passed over into eternal life with Jesus Christ Sunday, April 2, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years. Peggy was raised and educated in Tulsa and attended Will Rogers High School. She later earned her GED and furthered her education attending classes at Draughn Business School in Altus, Oklahoma, and attending Pharmaceutical School to become a Pharmacy Technician. She held various jobs throughout her life but spent most of her working life as an Aircraft Bonder for McDonald Douglas, Rockwell International and Spirit Airlines. Some of Peggy’s notable projects were working on the B6’s during the Vietnam War, working on the B1 Bombers, and her favorite, working on the GPS systems in the NASA Space Shuttles. Peggy would say, “My fingerprints are in space.” She enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as debating politics and gardening, but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Mowery Funeral Service. Graveside service will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma.
