Darrell Gillman Borgne, Jr., was born March 7, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to Darrell Gillman Borgne, Sr., and Virginia Helen (Carlen) Borgne. He died Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Darrell was reared and educated near Detroit and graduated with the Redford High School Class of 1954. He continued his education earning his Bachelors in Liberal Arts at Wayne State University. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Navy. He was married June 2, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, to Carol June Pickle. Darrell spent much of his working life with Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Michigan and was a company vice-president at the time of his retirement. He had served many years directly with Jerry Lewis in support of the Jerry Lewis Telethon. He also was involved in the Miss America Pageant. Darrell enjoyed a variety of pastimes including a love for cars, especially Trans Ams. He also enjoyed listening to all genres of music from 50’s and 60’s to classical, country, and gospel. He was a fan of Route 66 information and collectibles.

Brother and sister-in-law; Dennis and Ginny Borgne, of Allen, Texas
And a host of other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Carol.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the First Assembly of God in Owasso with Pastor Bruce McCarty officiating. Military honors provided by the United States Navy. Committal service and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
