Mildred Marie Austin was born August 20, 1921, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Guy Lee and Mamye Nevada McGehee Dugan. She died Friday, January 19, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 96 years. Mildred was reared and educated in Iowa and was a graduate of Maloy High School. She was married September 28, 1940, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Donald Earl Austin. She spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She worked hard on their Missouri farm with her husband, even working with a team of horses. She was preceded in death by her husband August 16, 1992. She had lived in Kansas City, Missouri, for a time and attended Northwest Bible Church. She made her home in Owasso, Oklahoma, in December of 2011, where she lived until her passing. Mildred had enjoyed a variety of pastimes including quilting. She enjoyed playing games such as Ya-hoo and pitch with her friends.

Daughter-in-law; Charity Austin, of Oktaha, Oklahoma
And a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Kevin Austin, two brothers, Leland Dugan, and John Dugan, and a sister, Mary Brenizer.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Bruce McCarty and Pastor Mike Shepherd officiating. Serving as honorary casket bearers will be Frank Kendall, Ken Endress, Glenn Sheddrick, Terry Fetters, Jim Fivecoat, and Michael Isaac. Mildred will be transported overland to Andrews-Hann Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri, where a second service is scheduled to be held. Final resting place will be at the Grant City Cemetery in Grant City, Missouri. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
