Albert Weatherford was born May 15, 1932, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to John William and Jewel Lee Vohon Weatherford. He died Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Albert was reared and educated in the Owasso area and was a graduate of Owasso High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. He spent much of his life living in Collinsville, Oklahoma, and worked with Chandler Materials in Tulsa as a maintenance worker. He later worked as a lawnmower specialist and small engine repair. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, two brothers, Joe Weatherford and Burrel Weatherford, and two sisters, Mable Fritts and Mildred Turner.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2018, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be George Fritts, Charles Fritts, Darryl Jones, and Tommy Jacks. Final resting place with be at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
