10/30/2018 – You may have noticed some of the Owasso Police Department staff starting to look a little “scruffy.” Rest assured that it’s all for a good cause. No, they haven’t lowered their hygiene standards, OPD officers and employees will once again be participating in “No Shave November.” This year officers are carrying it a little farther.
This season, Owasso Police Department employees will be allowed to grow facial hair during winter months, October through January. They may also apply purple hair dye as well. These changes are in exchange for donations to selected charities.
At the end of March, the razors come out, and honors will be bestowed for a variety of categories ranging from the “best beard” to the most pathetic attempt. Last year most of them were running for the later. 🙂
