Walter Irving "Mack" McArthur, Jr.Walter Irving “Mack” McArthur, Jr., was born March 4, 1933, in Kingston, Arkansas, to Walter Irving McArthur, Sr., and Nora Elizabeth Seitz McArthur. He died Thursday, November 25, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years. Mack was reared and educated in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and was a graduate of Fayetteville, High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was proud of the fact that his grandfather fought in the Civil War. After his service he continued his education with Roberts Beauty Training School in Tulsa. Mack was married June 20, 1958, in Tulsa to Beverly Claunch. He began working with Herzfeld’s Beauty Supply in Tulsa, then later as a homebuilder in the Claremore, Oklahoma, area. After many years of building quality homes, he returned to work as a sales representative with Capp’s Beauty Supply in Tulsa. Mack was strong in his faith and was a longtime faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Oologah, Oklahoma. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including deer hunting, target shooting and was an expert marksman. He also enjoyed spending time traveling with his family. He loved to spend time in his shop woodworking and making different projects. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He especially loved his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Papa.”

Emilie Ann Harold and husband Tyler, of Oologah, Oklahoma
Jacob Thomas Allison, of Verdigris, Oklahoma
Noah James Allison and wife Madison Taylor, of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Great grandchildren; Adaline Rose Harold, Kyler Irving Harold, and Ian Allen Marable
Two nephews; Paul Grigg, of Thomasville, Alabama
David Hall, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Bernice Grigg-Bunch, and Rita Hall.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. December 1, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Committal service and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
