Jackie Dale Pittman was born May 12, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jack Golder Pittman and Mildred Faye Carnathan Pittman. He died Thursday, November 25, 2021, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 73 years. Dale was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the East Central High School Class of 1968. He continued his education at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma, where he played football for the Cowboys, then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, continuing his football career. Dale was married June 12, 1971, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Linda Beavers. He joined the Tulsa Fire Department in June of 1971, leaving in 1981 to pursue business opportunities. Over the next 40 years, he was co-owner of Bud’s Foreign Automotive, Eastside Pick-A-Part, and Danny’s Auto Salvage. He was a member of the Oklahoma Hotline, the Automotive Recyclers Association, Quality Recycle Parts, and The Focus Owners Group. He retired in July of 2015 and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Family was very important to Dale and he enjoyed watching his son Derek play and coach soccer and watch his son Daryn race. His biggest thrill for the past 12 years was spending time with his granddaughters who affectionately knew him as “Papa”.

Brother; Thomas Gary Pittman, of Catoosa, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard Cortez Pittman, and sister, Roberta Sue Pyle.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at First Church in Owasso with Pastor Matt Thomason officiating. A private burial will occur at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens for Linda and her sons. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Dale’s memory to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O.
