Jane Ida Buchanan was born March 14, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Loren Robert Jestus and Margaret Jean McRae Jestus. She died Thursday, November 3, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years. After moving with her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jane completed her secondary education graduating with the East Central High School Class of 1961. She was married February 2, 1982, to Larry Buchanan in Owasso, Oklahoma. Jane began working as the Owasso City Clerk in 1985, serving in that position for several years. She was best known for her work as a real estate agent working for Stepping Stone Realtors and Trails End Realty. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including reading and relaxing sitting on her back patio. Most important to her was her family, and she cherished her role as “Granny” to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Reverend Thomas Jestus officiating. Final resting place was at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma.
