David Lee Klahr was born on December 14, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack Sylvester Klahr and Nana Nodena (Davis) Klahr. He passed from this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years. David was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Nathan Hale High School Class of 1964. He then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. David enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army, where he served as a Captain and Field Artillery Officer. He was married on August 16, 1969, in Norman to Katherine B. (McCrady) Klahr. David spent most of his working life as a Regional Sales Manager with Bethlehem Steel and Wilson Industries and retired from National Oil Well. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, football, and going to Grand Lake. David was an avid golfer and was a former Club Champion at Cedar Ridge Country Club, Senior Club Champion at Owasso Golf and Athletic Club, and Super Senior Champion for consecutive years at Broken Arrow Golf and Athletic Club. He had 7 hole-in-ones and shot below his age most of his senior life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Nana, and his brother, Jack.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Reverend Leonard Pirtle Officiating.
