Gladys “Gabby” Faye Hefta was born on April 26, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lee Osborne Lang and Maudie Gladys Engles. She passed from this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years. Gabby was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the East Central High School Class of 1961. She went on to attend classes at Connors State College in Warner, Oklahoma. Gabby spent most of her working life as a wire fabricator for multiple companies such as NASA, Burtek, McDonnell Douglas and L3 Communications. She was married on February 14, 1980, at her mother’s house in Owasso to Loren Henry Hefta. In her spare time, Gabby enjoyed a variety of past times such as going to Branson with her sisters and family, and spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Maudie Lang, siblings, Charlie Lang, Bud Lang, Delano Lang, and Betty West, son-in-law, Allen Schulte, grandchildren, Greyson Schulte, Spirit Hastings, and Riley Hastings-Akers, and her in laws, Joseph and Viola Hefta.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Mowery Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chaple in Owasso.
