Oklahoma State Health Officials Report Two Additional Probable Measles Cases including in Owasso
The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) has identified two more probable cases of measles, bringing the total number of cases in the state to four. Officials were notified of the new cases on March 14, 2025, and immediately launched an investigation.
Through contact tracing, health officials determined that the individuals were in public places while contagious, potentially exposing others. The affected locations and times include:

Individuals who were at these locations during the specified times and are unvaccinated, uncertain of their immunity, or have concerns are urged to complete this online form (https://redcap.link/Measles) to receive guidance from OSDH or the Tulsa Health Department. Health officials are available daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Public Health Guidance:
Anyone potentially exposed who is not immune through vaccination or prior infection should avoid public settings for 21 days from the date of exposure. Additionally, individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms, fever, or a new rash after visiting these locations should immediately isolate and notify their healthcare provider before seeking medical care. To report symptoms, contact the OSDH Epidemiologist-on-Call at 405-426-8710, available 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
Health officials confirmed that both newly identified cases were linked to the ongoing measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico and were not related to the two cases previously reported on March 11, 2025. All four probable cases in Oklahoma involved unvaccinated individuals.
