Owasso— 06/18/19 — A Midsummer Night’s Dream for a Cure gala is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 27th at Bailey Education Foundation. The formal gala will feature a wine bar, hot hors d’oeuvres, dancing and silent auction. All proceeds will go to St Jude Children’s Hospital. Tickets are on sale now at $30 per person and $50 per couple.
The fundraising event has been organized by Laci McGrew and Sheena Evans of Owasso. The two sought a way to make a difference in the lives of families who experience the stress of caring for a child with a life-threatening condition and thought a gala would be a fun way to accomplish this goal. “We chose St Jude for this fundraiser because they provide financial peace of mind to families during what may be the most stressful time of their life,” said McGrew on their decision.
The two women started with a simple goal to raise a few hundred dollars for St Judes, but as their plans expanded, so did their goal. Evans shared, “We weren’t sure we could pull this off, but it’s really coming together thanks to the help we’ve received from St Jude and the Bailey Education Foundation. This is our first fundraising event and we are hoping for a great turnout.”
