Alvin “Dale” Vance was born on September 17, 1950, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Walter Guy Vance and Juanita (Smith) Vance. He passed from this life on Friday, December 17, 2021, at his home in Collinsville, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years. Dale was raised in Skedee, Oklahoma where he graduated from the 8th grade and then finished high school with the Pawnee High School Class of 1968. He then enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard. He was married on October 25, 1968, in Ralston, Oklahoma to his high school sweetheart, Nona Marie (Sanderfer) Vance. Dale spent most of his working life as an entrepreneur and a business owner, owning convenience stores in the Pawnee area. He also worked on his ranch, raising cattle. Dale was a faithful member of United Church of God for over 26 years and was very active in serving with the youth. He loved to volunteer in the community and served as the Chamber of Commerce President in Pawnee and was also a founder of the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed a variety of past times such as fishing, hunting, gardening and woodworking, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Juanita, and two brothers, Cody Keith and Walter.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022, at United Church of God in Sand Springs.
