Alvin Foy Lowery, resident of the Claremore Veterans Center, passed from this life on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the age of 65 years. Alvin was born February 9, 1951, in Batesville, Arkansas, to James Polk and Ruth Genevieve (Ferguson) Lowery, Jr. He grew up in Tulsa, graduating from McLain high school. Alvin served his country honorably serving with the United States Air Force. Alvin worked for APAC Asphalt as a plant operator. Prior to APAC, he worked for various restaurants as a chef. In his spare time, Alvin enjoyed remote-controlled cars, fishing and hot rods.
Those that survive include two sons, Clint Lowery and Cory Bailey, both of Collinsville; twin brother, Alan Roy Lowery of Muskogee; sister Rhudean Lowery of Tulsa; and four grandchildren, Channing Lowery, Kobe Bailey, Jordan Bailey and Iversyn Bailey. Also surviving is a great granddaughter Stella Shore. Alvin was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Lois Kay.
Cremation is under the care of Mowery Funeral Service, Owasso. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. www.moweryfs.com
