Cherokee Nation accepting school clothing voucher applications in July
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Applications for the 2015 Clothing Assistance Program that helps families purchase new school clothes will be available starting July 7.
All children applying for the gift cards must be Cherokee citizens and living within the 14-county tribal jurisdiction, as well as meet income guidelines. To qualify, children must be in grades K-12 and parents must provide proof of school enrollment. Parents will also be required to provide income verification for all adults in the household.
Cherokee Nation employees will be at various field sites taking applications from 1 to 6 p.m. at South Coffeyville and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the remaining locations. Once approved at the site, parents will receive a $100 gift card for each school-aged child within the household.

July 9 – Vinita Health Center, 27371 S. 4410 Road
July 14 – Claremore High School, 201 E. Stuart Rosa
July 15 – Jay Middle School, 410 E. Monroe
July 16 – Salina Middle School, 909 Saltwell
July 21 – Sequoyah High School ‘The Place Where They Play,’ 17091 S. Muskogee Ave.
July 22 – Sallisaw High School, 2301 Ruth St.
July 23 – Stilwell High School, 1801 Locust St.
July 28 – Porum High School gym, 4th and W. Osage
July 29 – Sequoyah High School ‘The Place Where They Play,’ 17091 S. Muskogee Ave.
