Audrey Young Reeve was born October 24, 1949, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Warren G and Harriet Ried Hathaway Young. She died Monday, October 12, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. Audrey completed her secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the McLain High School Class of 1967. She continued her education at the University of Tulsa where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in physical education. She was married November 24, 1978, at the Sharpe Chapel on the University of Tulsa campus to Kim Reeve. She and Kim made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1987. Shortly after moving to Owasso she became a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. Audrey was musically gifted with the ability to play the piano and flute. She sang in the church choir and played in the bell choir for years. Athletics was always her passion. She used her athletic ability throughout her life to teach and help others. She loved teaching and organizing any sort of physical activity. She taught physical education and synchronized swimming at McLain High School and East Central High School in Tulsa. She gave private tennis lessons, swim lessons and did personal fitness training. In past years Audrey taught gymnastics to children at the YMCA. In recent years she was a water aerobics instructor at the YMCA. When she had young children she became a soccer coach for their teams. Most recently she helped create the Pickleball community in Owasso. Her love for all these things created a wide circle of friends that loved her and shared her passion.

And her first grandchild Lexi Leone Haefeker due in February
Two brothers; Richard Young and wife Marilyn, of Stratham, New Hampshire
Walter Young and husband Arthur Kuper, of Boulder, Colorado
Sister; Marjorie Sager and husband Phil, of Kellyville, Oklahoma
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the First United Methodist Church in Owasso with Dr. Jim Cinocca officiating. October 24th is Audrey’s 71st birthday and we invite all to come and celebrate it with us, whether in person or through an online streaming of the service. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry, 13800 East 106th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
