September 2nd marks the 70th anniversary of the signing of the terms of surrender aboard the USS Missouri, ending World War II.
Saturday, August 29th, Collinsville VFW Post 3077 will be having a commemoration of the World War II generation as well as those from other conflicts (Korea, Vietnam, etc…). There will be militaria displays, weapons and firearms displays, restored vehicles and more.
The event is open to the public and runs from 12:00-5:00 pm. The post is located at 15637 N 137th East Ave in Collinsville.
So, bring your kids. Bring the whole family. And, enjoy an afternoon learning about “The Greatest Generation”!
