When learning about “service” Barnes Elementary 4th graders were inspired to take learning to a higher level. Ready to make a difference, these young student community leaders began heading up a blanket drive for this fall. They are now collecting new and gently used blankets from now til December 5th. The blankets collected will go to local shelters including, but not limited to, John 3:16. They are passionate children on a mission. They have set a goal of collecting at least 200 blankets. To kick off this exciting service project the 4th graders collected 20 blankets in just one week! They are very excited and ready for more. You can help by bring in blankets to our office! Just let them know it’s for Mrs. Holey’s Class! Lets surprise them with our support for them and their sweet mission.
