Beatrice Laraine “Bea” Brown was born December 10, 1933, in Whitehall, New York, to George Benjamin Burt and Clare Albin Burt. She died Friday, September 6, 2024, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years. Bea completed her secondary education in Whitehall and was a graduate of Whitehall High School. She was married January 6, 1952, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Rowland “Brownie” Brown. They moved to Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1969, which they have called home since that time. She spent much of her working life as a homemaker caring for her family and raising her children. She worked outside the home later in life as an administrative assistant for Universal Oil Products.
Bea was a longtime faithful member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso. She enjoyed reading books and was a talented artist. Be also enjoyed spending time outdoors working in her garden. She dearly loved her family and was extremely fond of her role as “Grandma”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Clare Burt, husband “Brownie” Brown, and son Richard L. Brown.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso. Serving as casket bearers will be Paul Brown, Mike Brown, Stacey Lamb, Matt Lamb, Jeff Lamb, David Brown. Honorary casket bearers will be Palmer Lamb and Jackson Lamb. Committal service and interment will follow at St. Therese Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
