Bernard Rudolph Steinbeck, Jr.

Born October 21, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Died March 27, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma

He served in the US Navy in Vietnam from 1965-1969 aboard the USS Tanner and in Da Nang.

Though his life began and ended in Oklahoma, “Rudy” also spent some years in California, Texas and Indiana.
Following in his father’s footsteps, he was a certified aircraft mechanic by profession and worked for United Airlines as well as private aircraft corporations. They both could fix any mechanical device with baling wire and their ingenuity and seemed to have passed that particular talent on to their next generation as well.

Rudy was pre-deceased by his parents, Helen and Bernard Steinbeck; and is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Diana Steinbeck of Owasso; two sisters, Lisa Maria Mullen of Houston, Texas, and Karen Helen Scott of Mission Viejo, California; niece Karman Marie Scott of Mission Viejo; his daughter of a previous marriage, Jennifer Hutson (husband, Eldon) of Coweta; grandsons, Anthony McCarn (wife, Courtney) and Travis McCarn (wife, Jullian), of Arizona.

Rudy was baptized at University Baptist Church in Tulsa and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1965. He will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery next to his beloved parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Foundation.
