Lisabeth Ann “Betsy” Compton was born August 1, 1947, in LaPorte, Indiana to Harold G. Hevel and Neva M. (Bulla) Hevel. She passed from this life on Friday, August 31, 2018, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 71 years. Betsy was raised and educated in Northwestern Indiana and graduated with the North Liberty High School Class of 1965 in North Liberty, Indiana. After high school she attended Vogue School of Beauty in South Bend, Indiana. She held various jobs throughout her life, but spent the majority as a homemaker, raising her two boys. Betsy married Steven Francis Compton at St. Mathews Cathedral in South Bend on December 30, 1972. She has been a faith member at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso, Oklahoma for many years. Betsy enjoyed a variety of pastimes such volunteering for F.O.R. (Future Owasso Rams), being actively involved with the church and serving on various committees and raising her English Bulldogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Neva.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Matt LaChance officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Betsy’s memory to Humane Society of Tulsa, 6232 E. 60th St., Tulsa, OK 74135. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
