Betty Ruth (West) McCartt was born January 4, 1936, at Anchor, Kentucky, the 1st of 4 children to Jake and Aileen West. She died Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. She was married March 31, 1953, in Indiana, to John McCartt and they were married for over 50 wonderful years until his death in 2013. Betty worked as a Telephone Operator and then became a stay at home mom. They followed their son from California to Reno, Nevada in 1987 until 1993 and then to Oklahoma.
She is survived by her son, Mark McCartt and daughter-in-law Julie, two grandsons, Jason McCartt and wife Jennifer, Josh McCartt, and three beautiful great grand=daughters, Riley, Madison and Carly.
Betty’s had many interests including oil painting, shopping, cards, bunko, dominoes, and cooking. Her gravy and biscuits were a family favorite. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved to entertain.
Betty will be reunited with her loving husband John, brother Micky, and sisters Dorothy and Bobbie, and many family and friends that have passed before her. With arms wide open, she will be welcomed by her Heavenly Father Jesus Christ, Lord and Savor.
