Beverly Jo Hilberling was born August 4, 1935, in Sedgwick, Kansas, to Blaine and Naomi Thomas. She died Saturday, November 9, 2013, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years. Beverly was reared and educated in Sedgwick and was a graduate of Sedgwick High School. She was married June 15, 1953, at Halstead, Kansas, to Victor Hilberling. They had made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1966, before moving to Owasso in 1993. Beverly spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a faithful member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including quilting and watching and collecting butterflies. She also had a special relationship with the neighborhood kids giving them bottles of water and candy.

Sister; Lorna Preston, of Newton, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandson, Josh Hilberling, two sisters, Mable Stamback and Judy Spencer, and three brothers, Jack Thomas, Jerry Thomas, and Allen Thomas.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the Salem United Methodist Church in Newton, Kansas, with Reverend Nancy Crowl officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Zachariah Hilberling, Tom Stamback, Roger Stamback, Jason Marsh, Dennis Preston, Kim Spencer, and Scott Askew. Committal services and interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick, Kansas. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso, Oklahoma.
