Billy G. Parker was born November 18, 1934, in Purcell, Oklahoma, to Joseph Edward and Lula Jane Ferguson Parker. He died Thursday, December 22, 2016, in Sperry, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. Bill was reared and educated in Vera, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Vera High School Class of 1952. He was active with the Air Force Reserve ROTC Program at the University of Tulsa. He continued his education at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in business administration. He then earned his Master’s Degree at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He worked for Texaco for 25 years and then as an FDIC bank examiner. Bill was married May 12, 2005 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Shera Warman. He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso, Oklahoma. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including camping, but he especially enjoyed watching sports such as the Oklahoma City Thunder and anything with the University of Tulsa and his beloved Oklahoma State Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Su Su Parker, granddaughter, Mandy Alvarado, sister, Betty Wilson, and brother, Jody Parker.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Kevin Laufer officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Jon Hoffman, Rich Evans, Kevin Berich, Davis Larson, Ray Rudnicki, and Zach Parker. Committal service and interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
