Carol Elaine (McCants) Cook was born on November 13, 1954, in Georgetown, South Carolina to John Titus McCants and Mary Dell (Taylor) McCants. She was raised and educated in Andrews, South Carolina and graduated valedictorian of Williamsburg High School Class of 1973. Carol was married on December 28, 1973, in Andrews, South Carolina to Robert A. “Bob” Cook. She spent most of her working life as an administrative assistant, serving in a number of schools, ministries, and corporations. Her local church ministry involvement was diverse. She served in many leadership and pastoral duties such as church planting, outreach ministries, and local church revitalization.
Carol’s local church ministry service carried her to numerous states including South Carolina, Washington, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma. She also traveled abroad to a number of nations in a short-term missions capacity. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as reading, coloring, traveling with Bob, and rallying family members together for family photos. Most of all Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren.
