Charles Preston Edwards, Jr. was born December 23, 1937, in Cedartown, Georgia, to Charles Preston Edwards, Sr., and Nelle Robenia Terry Edwards. He died Sunday, April 21, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Charles was a graduate of Cedartown High School and then attended Auburn University. He continued his education attending Spartan School of Aeronautics. He was married June 8, 1971, in Skiatook, Oklahoma, to Janice Keaton. Charles was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. He spent most of his professional life as a business entrepreneur operating several businesses and working several vocations, including several pastorates. He was a strong man of faith and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Owasso.

Great Grandchildren; Elsie Thomas, Joseph Wagener, and Maliyah Thomas
Brothers; Murray Edwards and wife Ellen, of Cartersville, Georgia
Michael Edwards and wife Bonnie, of Hazlehurst, Georgia
And several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service was held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Chris Wall officiating. Serving as casket bearers were Austin Thomas, Steve Milwicz, Steve Taylor, Terry Canady, Rick Cuccio, and Butch Mashburn. Honorary casket bearers were Ryan Canady, Dwight Miller, James Edwards, and Roger Lockhart. Graveside service was held Friday afternoon at the Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Charles’ memory to The Mission-FBCO, P.O. Box 1020, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
