Upcoming celebration brings fireworks and car show
Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs offering fun-filled, family evening
CLAREMORE, Okla. – Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs and Lady Luck’s Fireworks are teaming up for a fun-filled evening of fireworks and entertainment at the racetrack June 21 starting at 5 p.m.
“This is an opportunity to bring our guests and the community together to celebrate Independence Day a little early,” said Megan Province, marketing manager at Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs. “We’ll have food, music, cars, fireworks and kids’ games. There is something planned for all ages.”
Aside from various food options, the event will include several activities for the kids. Children can choose from inflatables, face painting, balloons or a visit with clowns.
While the children are playing, families can listen to live music from River’s Edge. The country band is playing on the outdoor stage from 5 to 8 p.m.
As part of the evening’s entertainment, the Route 66 Car Club of Claremore is displaying more than 35 classic and mixed-hobby cars, along with dirt crawlers from Green Country Offroad of Vinita.
The highlight of the evening is a fireworks show presented by Lady Luck’s Fireworks. The fireworks dealer, in celebrating its 30th year in business, is putting on an hour-long fireworks display. The show is expected to conclude with an impressive finale.
Following the fireworks show, Runnin’ on Empty will conclude the events with a free show inside the Dog Iron Saloon. Guests must be 18 or older to attend the concert.
