Clyde Howard WilliamsClyde Howard Williams was born December 3, 1924, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Morris Samuel and Hazel Gladys Humphrey Williams. He died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 96 years. Clyde completed his secondary education Tulsa and was a graduate of Will Rogers High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during World War II. He was married March 3, 1951, in Tulsa to Janet Addie Evans. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1972. Clyde spent most of his working life as a postal clerk with the United States Post Office. He was strong in his Christian faith and was a longtime active member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso. He was also a member of the Owasso VFW Post #7180. Clyde enjoyed taking his family camping and going to the lake. He also enjoyed working and spending time in his garden. He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed oil painting, particularly landscapes. He especially enjoyed his role as “Grandpa”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet, one daughter, Barbara Clark and brother Gene Williams.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Dr. Clayton Chisum officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
