11/03/2018 – In the fall of 2017, Owasso voters approved a bond issue which allowed for many improvements to the school district as a whole.
Beginning next week, you’ll see the construction activity begin on some of those improvements at the Owasso High School west campus.
These improvements include eight new science classrooms and a multi-purpose room /safe shelter large enough to hold all students on the west campus.
Mark Officer, Owasso High School Principal in a recent letter to parents stated “Through the efficiency of our construction and operations teams, included with the project will be several other updates to the campus. Those include updating the main gym on the campus, new flooring for the hallways, and other updates that will tie the new construction to the existing structure. In order to begin construction, several safety steps will be taken.”
Construction teams have began putting up safety fences to indicate to students and parents which areas are off limits during this work. They ask that everyone please respect the safety postings during construction.
The regular campus parking lot will not be available to students on the west campus. There will be a temporary parking lot on the north side of the building that students can use.
