Dale Eugene Buchfink was born December 5, 1936, in Kismet, Kansas, to John and Lenora Hildebrand Buchfink. He died Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Dale completed his secondary education in Collinsville, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Collinsville High School Class of 1955. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army. Dale was married June 25, 1971, in Owasso, Oklahoma, to Zelda Ruth Cargill. He spent his early working life as a farmer and followed the wheat harvest working for multiple farmers around the Collinsville and Oologah areas. He did this well into his 30’s before starting his career in shipping and managing a warehouse in Tulsa. Dale enjoyed a variety of pastimes but was a man of simple interests, especially manicuring and working in his yard. He was affectionately known to his grandchildren and “Papa Dale”.
