David Kyle McFarland was born October 1, 1977, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He died Sunday, November 6, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 39 years. David completed his secondary education with the Owasso High School Class of 1996. He spent much of his working life with Owasso Liquor and Wine, currently as assistant manager. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including coin collecting, woodworking, and spending time with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marlon George, and maternal grandmother, Freda Thompson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 08, 2016, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in Owasso with Pastor Jim Cinocca officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Axton McFarland, Chad Thompson, Troy Thompson, Zachary Thompson, Kevin Shappley, and Rayne Johnson. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church – Food Pantry, 13800 East 106th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
