David L Jordan, 89, a long-time resident of Tulsa, passed away on September 1 ,2024, in Owasso, OK. David was born April 19, 1935, in Stilwell, OK to Bailey R Jordan and Ranie Viola Jordan {Jones). David was reared and educated in Sitwell and graduated from Stilwell High School in 1954.
David married Linda Louise Martin on August 17, 1963, in Muskogee, OK. David spent most of his working life as a carpenter and maintenance person, including Hannah Remodeling Company and State of Oklahoma – Lloyd Rader Center, where he retired in 2003. He was a faithful Christian and 43-year member of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa. David enjoyed woodworking, making crafts, telling jokes, and people watching. David spent the last eight months of his life at Baptist Village in Owasso.

Survivors include one daughter, Kristy Peters and husband, Steve of Owasso; one son, Chad Jordan and wife Alicia, of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Kelsey Contreras and husband Peter of Owasso; David Reel and wife Sylia of Lee’s Summit, MO; Emilie Hyde and husband, Foster of Owasso; Braxton Jordan of Tulsa; and Hannah Jordan of Branson, MO; three great grandchildren, Kenley Louise Contreras, Karlie Hope Contreras, and Kamryn Joy Contreras all of Owasso. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, in the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. A visitation will be held in the Chapel one hour prior to the service. Graveside and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Services and arrangements were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
