Deborah “Debby” Cecile Thompson was born on July 24, 1950, in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Wesley Holmes Sparks and Laruth Almedia Sparks. She passed from this life on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. Debby was raised and educated in Wetumka and graduated with the Wetumka High School Class of 1968. She was married on December 29, 1970, in Wetumka to David Avris Thompson. Debby worked in retail and at one point owned her own newspaper and ceramic store, but she spent most of her working life as a bank teller with First Bank of Owasso for many years and most recently with Oklahoma Central Credit Union. She was a proud member and former president of Eta Mu Sorority in Owasso and a member of the Corvette Club. In her spare time, Debby enjoyed a variety of past times such as painting, sewing, ceramics, quilting, cooking, and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Laruth, daughter, Michelle, and her brother, Roger.
