Donald Lewis Workman was born August 21, 1939, near Aurora, Indiana, to William and Mamie (Armstrong) Workman. He died Sunday, June 12, 2016, in Sperry, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years. Don was reared and educated in Aurora and graduated with the Aurora High School Class of 1957. He spent 50 years of his working life in the petroleum industry as a pump technician primarily with Centrilift in Claremore, Oklahoma. Don loved the outdoors and enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially hunting and fishing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Don also was a very accomplished bowler. He enjoyed farming and always had a very healthy garden of vegetables.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bob and Gerald Workman and by a grandson, Jared Patton.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Perry Newman officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
