Donna Hill was born Donna Rae Lawson on July 15, 1934, as the first child of Henry and Opal Lawson. She passed from this life on Friday, December 20, 2024, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years. She spent her early childhood years between the Roff, OK area and the Richmond, CA region. Raised in a Christian family, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior on Sunday June 17, 1944, at the age of 10 while listening to Dr. CC Morris on the radio in her families living room. She spent most of her life teaching the Bible to children, young adults, singles, and older women in the various Baptist churches to which she was a member.
Donna graduated from Roff High School in 1952, and moved to Oklahoma City to work as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. She worked the long-distance switch board. It was while living in Oklahoma City that she rode her first elevator.
Donna married Raymond Hill on June 26, 1953, in a small family ceremony at her childhood home. The young couple lived in several towns around Oklahoma during their early years of marriage. They had three children. Donna was a long-time resident of Okmulgee, OK where she and Raymond raised their family. She worked for over 30 years at the Brown’s Shoe store in downtown Okmulgee. After the store closed, she worked for several of the local funeral homes. She always loved working with the public and loved people.
Donna was saved at a young age, and taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Girl’s Auxiliary and other church classes most of her life. She spent hours each day reading and studying her Bible and praying for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her brother David, her husband Raymond, her son Michael Hill and her daughter Carolyn Edmonds.

She is survived by her daughter Catherine Webb (Kenny) of Owasso, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and her sister Dorinda Jacobson and husband Dave.
