Doris Elizabeth Blouir was born June 5, 1924, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to Ernest Arthur and Ora Mae Kimball Colburn. She died Saturday, January 13, 2018, in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of 93 years. Doris was married October 17, 1941, in Independence, Kansas, to Robert Howard Blouir. She had served as a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. She spent most of her working life as a seamstress for B & H Alterations. Doris was a faith Christian woman and was a longtime faithful member of Dawson Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time working in her yard. As a talented seamstress, she also enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Most important in her life was her family.

And a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Howard Blouir, son, Ernest Howard Blouir, daughter, Lora Ann Blouir, brothers, Ellsworth Colburn and Everett Colburn, sister, Mary Gates, niece, Joella Goad, and great nephew Jason Colburn.
Funeral service was held Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating and interment following. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
