Bricktown, Brady, Brookside and Blue Dome. Those are all community brands for areas easily identifiable in Oklahoma by most everyone…. but what about us?

Owasso’s downtown renovations are underway, with big changes that will soon have us competing with the best of them. So what should our brand be?

The City of Owasso has put together a Branding Committee to establish and help create the perfect branded name for an area that is quickly evolving, mixing the older downtown area with new businesses and venues that will enhance our quality of life.  

The committee, with around 20 citizens made up of business owners, city leaders and city employees came together today for the first time to discuss branding and enhancement to the area.

Some older buildings on Main Street will soon be replaced with new two-story mixed used properties that will showcase trendy restaurants and fun retail on their bottom floors, with upscale living spaces above.

A new festival marketplace on Main Street just south of City Hall is now in the works, where before you know it you will enjoy movie nights, a farmers market, outdoor concerts and more.

With home and work being the first and second places in your life, the city hopes the new downtown area might be your third destination.
