Doyle L. Dobbins was born May 20, 1929, in Coweta, Oklahoma, to Floyd and Florence (Snelson) Dobbins. He died Monday, May 12, 2014, in Catoosa, Oklahoma, at the age of 84 years. Doyle was reared and educated in Porter, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Porter High School Class of 1946. He was married December 10, 1964, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Pauline Johnson. They had made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, since 1976. Doyle spent most of his working life as a supervisor with CE Natco in Tulsa before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Combustion Engineers Retirees and had served as treasurer. He faithfully attended Woodcrest Free Will Baptist Church in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Doyle enjoyed a variety of pastimes including noodling, but spending time with his family was most important to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pauline, five brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Woodcrest Free Will Baptist Church in Catoosa with Pastor Roger Ballard officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Regent Scholarship Fund, 8621 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74133. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
