Florence Loraine Zweiacher, resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the age of 90 years of age. Florence was born June 5, 1924 in Tulsa, OK to Thomas Jefferson and James Mary Lou Etta (Kennedy) Cook. She was raised in Tulsa, attending Webster High School. On May 27, 1942, Florence and Kenneth Zweiacher were united in marriage. To this union, two children were born. After their marriage, they made their home in Orlando, Florida for a short time before returning to Tulsa. They moved to Owasso in 1954. Her church affiliation was with the then Westport Mennonite Church, and she was also a member of the Owasso Eastern Star. Florence enjoyed a variety of pastimes including painting, sewing and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.
Those that survive include her children – Judy Simmons and husband Gilbert of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Kenneth Michael Zweiacher of Owasso; 3 grandchildren – Suzie Williamson and husband Chris of Oologah, Donna Hubbard and husband Donny of Owasso and Mike Zweiacher and wife Jamie of Hudson, Indiana. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren – Lauren Edwards, Luke Edwards, Brooke Williamson, Troy Williamson, Danielle Langston, Kaydee Langston, Kyle Langston, Chase Hubbard, Nathan Zweiacher, Zoe Zweiacher and Emory Zweiacher; two great great grandchildren Jace Zweiacher and Bentley Page; as well as two sisters Ethel Mae Cook and Doris Stamper and a brother Arnold Cook, all of Tulsa. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers Bill and TJ Cook.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa with Rev Mike Frantz officiating. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. www.moweryfs.com
