01/14/2018 – Changes are coming to Facebook, and we are adapting to make sure you stay informed. As Owassoisms is a “Community Page” we should not be affected much as others, but just in case, here are some steps that will help you keep “Owasso Informed”.
1: Join “the group “Owasso Events, News and Information”. We have created the new “group” which is attached not only to Owassoisms, but Discover Owasso and Shop Owasso First. The group will allow reader questions (lost and found, recommendations, alerts, etc) directly on the page (once approved) for more interaction from other members. It will also assure you do not miss what is coming, what is going, what streets to avoid due to construction, etc. We also plan an evening recap on what you might have missed during the day, with links to that information.
The group is Owasso Events, News and Information. CLICK HERE to join , then add your friends to help get it started.

2. Text updates to your phone. Did you know with or without Twitter you can receive a text update to your phone? Send the test ” follow@owassoisms ” to the number 40404. That’s it. Messages are limited to 20 per day if you do not have a twitter account, and 200 a day if you have a Twitter account.
3: See us first on Facebook. Did you know Facebook gives you the option of what you want to see first when you sign on? To set this up, go to the page you want to see first. Click on “following” and a drop down menu will appear. Choose the “See First” option in the drop down menu and you are set.
4. Get notifications: Facebook also gives you the option to get notified when selected friends, pages and family make a post. To receive notifications, you will need to click the “Following” button as you did above, and make sure “On” is checked under NOTIFICATIONS. (see example above)
5. Receive email updates: Owassoisms.com posts are read an average of 2 million times per month. You will find much more there than you do on any of our social media outlets. You can sign-up for email updates from the front page of our website. Simply visit Owassoisms.com and fill out the form on the front page, that is shown in the photo below. Updates will come right to your inbox.
